Experience

Built the DevOps function from initial solo ownership into a platform capability spanning self-hosted GitLab, Kubernetes/GitOps, Cloudflare, observability, infrastructure as code, networking, DR/HA, and production incident response.

DevOps Lead / Senior Platform Engineer

Lead platform engineering and act as a senior production escalation point across a hybrid e-commerce environment spanning OCI/OKE, on-prem infrastructure, edge security, CI/CD, observability, networking, and data services.

  • Founded the DevOps function as the initial solo owner and helped grow the platform team while standardizing delivery across 300+ GitLab projects.
  • Drove the transition from Bitbucket/Jenkins toward self-hosted GitLab CI/CD with reusable components, policy, migration tooling, and developer-focused workflows.
  • Introduced and operate Argo CD/GitOps patterns for Kubernetes delivery using Helm, ApplicationSets/app-of-apps patterns, rollout governance, and controlled environment changes.
  • Lead high-availability planning for migration from OCI Israel single-AD constraints to Frankfurt across three availability domains, including roughly 270+ pods / 300+ containers and stateful Redis, Elasticsearch, and MySQL/MariaDB workloads.
  • Operate Cloudflare production controls across DNS, WAF, Bot Management, routing, allowlists, and application protection.
  • Own observability patterns across Grafana Cloud, Alloy, Prometheus/Mimir, Loki, Tempo, OpenTelemetry, and eBPF/Beyla instrumentation.
  • Design cloud networking, VPN, private access, branch connectivity, and DR patterns across OCI, AWS, and on-prem environments; investigate provider/transit failures using packet-path and MTR evidence.
  • Drive Terraform/Ansible infrastructure automation, CI-only change workflows, state governance, and secret-management patterns.
  • Manage external vendor communication and cloud services, coordinating service issues, technical escalations, and operational requirements.

Backend Developer / Production Engineering Foundation

Built and supported backend systems before moving deeper into infrastructure and platform ownership.

  • Worked with PHP/Laravel, MySQL/MariaDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, APIs, and production debugging.
  • Built operational context in application behavior, databases, caching, deployments, and failure diagnosis that later shaped platform engineering decisions.
  • Expanded into Go, Node.js, Python, automation tooling, CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure operations.

From backend to platform ownership

I started in PHP/backend development and moved into infrastructure through production debugging, deployments, CI/CD, monitoring, databases, and operational ownership.

Today I lead DevOps/platform engineering at KSP Ltd, with hands-on responsibility across GitLab CI/CD, Kubernetes/OKE, Argo CD/GitOps, Cloudflare, observability, cloud networking, infrastructure as code, and disaster-recovery architecture.

I founded the DevOps function as its initial solo owner, then helped grow the team while standardizing delivery and platform patterns across a 300+ project GitLab estate.

My focus is systems that keep working under pressure: repeatable delivery, clear failure domains, measurable reliability, controlled change, and automation that reduces dependency on individual operators.
